AFF runs for seven days at Dipson's Amherst Theatre in Buffalo: Friday, Sept. 11th - Thursday, Sept. 17th. This is our 16th year celebrating Fantastic Cinema from around the world, and we're screening 106 films over seven days/28 blocks!
Indie horror legend Lynn Lowry will attend the World Premieres of two features we're screening: Ken Rowe's MINDFLIP (our Opening Night Feature, Fri, Sept. 11th, 7 pm). and Tommy Graef's SEGMENTS OF JONAH (Sat, Sept. 12th, 1 pm). She will receive our AAF Legacy Award on Sun, Sept. 13th.
Goth rocker Aurelio Voltaire will attend our screening of THE DOMINATRIX Tuesday, Sept. 15th at 7:45pm. Voltaire co-wrote, co-directed, and co-stars in the film with Jeff Feller. Doug Bradley (Hellraiser) and Larry Fessenden co-star. Voltair and Lynn have both been to Buffalo before - to star in Debbie Rochon's MODEL HUNGER.
Live in New York State? Submit to Empire State Film Festival, which runs Friday, October 23rd - Sunday, October 25th at Cinemapolis in Ithaca, New York! Submissions close September 1st.
Valkyrie International Film Festival screens exclusively films directed by women and is accepting submissions soon for its fifth season in Buffalo, April 1st - 4th.
